The Top of the Mark has sizzled its way into a place of distinction -- a spot on Playboy magazine's list of America's Greatest Bars.
Writer-at-large and nightlife aficionado Steve Garbarino, along with the Playboy staff, cruised the country for the hottest cocktail spots. The Top of the Mark, with its 100 Martini list, live music five nights a week and stunning wraparound views of San Francisco, must have been a natural.
The list, unveiled (if you will) in the magazine's August issue, names fewer than 20 bars, and only one in San Francisco -- the Top of the Mark.
In late August, the Top of the Mark will undergo a little routine maintenance.
Following brunch, it will close at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, and will reopen for cocktails at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010.
During that time, join us for breakfast, lunch and light dining, as well as cocktails, at the Nob Hill Restaurant at the Lobby Level. For a little added magic, we've even brought Ricardo Scales in Tuesday through Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 10:30. Enjoy one of our Top of the Mark Top 10 Martinis as you lounge in style, then get ready to kick up your heels at the Top again come Friday night.
